John is a composer, performer, and educator based out of the Hudson County area of New Jersey. He has written music for a wide variety of band, chamber, and jazz ensembles, and has performed as keyboardist and vocalist in multiple touring acts. He studied at the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music and completed his degree at Bard College where he received the Margaret Creal Shafer Prize in composition. He has garnered years of experience teaching students of all ages in high school, middle school and private 1-on-1 settings and holds a C.E. as Teacher of Music from the New Jersey Department of Education.

 
 

He breaks down difficult concepts into clear and concise exercises, and you learn exponentially more after you master each exercise. He is adaptable to any area you would like to improve upon, working with you to craft your own unique style
